2 Days 1 Night - the Top of Mount Rinjani
Detailed Climbing Itinerary is as follows:
Day 0: Arriving in Lombok
As you arrive at Lombok International Airport, we will pick you up by private car. Then our driver will take you to your chosen hotel in Senaru, where you will meet your reliable guide, and the guide will provide you with pre-climbing information regarding trekking procedures.
Day 1: Sembalun Crater Rim (2,369 meters above sea level)
Breakfast will be provided by the hotel at 6.30 a.m. After having breakfast, your trekking will be registered at the main gate of Mount Rinjani National Park. Then, you start the trekking to post 1 (915 m) for two hours. Here you will walk through a savanna. Arriving at post 1, you will take a rest for 15 minutes, then continue climbing to post 2 for one hour. As you arrive at post 2 (1,500 m), you will rest longer and have lunch.
After having lunch, you continue trekking to post 3 (1,800 m) for one hour and take a rest at post 3 for fifteen minutes. You will trek hills for three and a half hours to reach Sembalun Crater Rim (2.369 m), with an estimated arrival time of 4.30 p.m. From this point, you can enjoy the view above the clouds, overlooking the spectacular Mount Rinjani. Here, you will have dinner and take a rest.
Day 2: The top of Mount Rinjani (3.726 meters above sea level)
Our team provide breakfast for you at 2 a.m. Trekking or climbing to the peak of Mount Rinjani will be started at 2.30 a.m. The climb to the top is divided into 3 stages. The first stage takes 2 hours, with medium difficulty. The second stage is a fairly easy climb with a path full of gravel. Then, the final stage is to pass the route known as Letter E Rinjani because the route is quite steep and difficult. Trekking this route needs a lot of energy and strong determination.
As you reach the peak of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m), you will enjoy stunning views of Lombok Island, Lake Segara Anak, Sumbawa, Bali and its surroundings. After enjoying the sunrise at the top, you will walk down to the campsite. At the campsite, you can enjoy your breakfast and get ready to walk down to Sembalun village. The return trekking takes 5 hours, including lunch at post 2. When you arrive at Sembalun village, our driver will pick you up and take you to your next destination.
